Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park – August 24-27, 2022.

Led by Craig Wennersten – https://image10photographic.com/ who contracts for Navajo guides/drivers.

One gets to photograph places that visitors cannot go without a guide. This activity was centered upon Milky Way photography. Unfortunately, clouds from monsoon storms obscured several of our shoots, but it was memorable none-the-less. Normally, this workshop/tour is scheduled in the spring when the skies are clear.

Without a guide, a visitor may drive only a 17-mile loop within the park. In addition to night shoots within the park, a special opportunity on this event was the chance to go up on top of Hunt’s Mesa, the ridge south of the park. We camped for one night and were able to take sunset and sunrise photos of the rock formations from our high vantage point looking north.
