I was a Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 33 years, serving as a dove specialist in the Division of Migratory Bird Management.  I've served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop for many years and got my NRA firearms certification to help with the Shooting Sports programs for scouts.  Additionally, I volunteer with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department and, as a Senior Huntmaster, lead a youth deer hunt each year and help with other hunts.  I love to hike and volunteer with the Continental Divide Trail Coalition to help maintain/improve trails or help build new ones to get them off motorized roads.

For the past several years I have been working to improve my photography and enjoy capturing scenes of God's magnificent creation.  Other hobbies/interests include woodworking and hunting.

I have been married to my wife, Linda, for the past 45 years (in 2018) and have two sons.  We go to Our Father Lutheran Church in Centennial.
